SAFETY

Never Take It For Granted

SAFETY is something none of us should take for granted, safety is our responsibility. It is something everyone must be aware of these days. We could all be out running or walking one morning enjoying the beautiful weather when something or someone could ruin the day or sometimes the rest of our lives. We are all at risk in today’s world, but there are a number of things we can do to make our runs safer. Safety should be our #1 concern before you step out the door. I have done some research on the web and found some very good articles on the subject of safety. Please read over these articles and share them with family and friends, this is a very important issue. We should all sit down with our children or grandchildren and go over the rules of safety. They are our future runners and marathoners, so why not educate them early. We can also teach and learn by example by following the rules of safety for running or walking.

STAY SAFE,
JERRY

Marathon Training

Welcome to the 50 and DC Marathon Group Training page. The page was designed to help you find different training sites. If you are a veteran runner, wheeler, handcyclist, walker or someone just starting out or even someone who has been injured and out of the circuit for awhile you can use these sites. We all need a little change in training or maybe to learn something new. As a runner myself I find Art Lieberman’s State of Art Marathon Training one of the best choices, mostly because he has the most to offer. So please check out appropriate training for whatever meets your needs. Just click on training link of choice and it will go directly to the website. If any other links you would like to add please e-mail Jerry at jschaver@mchsi.com.
